Physical Realism for Simulation

The COG-SHH-2M Belt Tensioner is a 4-point belt traction system that acts directly on the shoulders and hips, accurately reproducing the physical forces experienced during real-world driving. Built with 4.8 Nm of motor torque, robust construction, and full compatibility with COG-SHH Control Manager software, it delivers a high-fidelity kinetic simulation experience.

 

Active 4-Point Traction

The device pulls from all four belt anchor points, applying tension in real time based on track events: braking, cornering, acceleration, or gear shifts. This strengthens the physical connection with the virtual vehicle and enhances perception of vehicle dynamics.

 

Realistic Braking Load

During braking, the system applies immediate tension on the shoulder belts, simulating the body’s forward inertia. This forces the user to anticipate the deceleration realistically, improving awareness of weight transfer and stopping forces.

 

Lateral Force Simulation

Lateral belt tension on the hips simulates cornering forces. The system dynamically adjusts pull to represent body shift, reinforcing steering feedback and helping the user feel the car’s behavior under load.

 

Gear Shift Response

Each gear shift triggers a short, synchronized belt pull, mimicking the jerk experienced in real transmissions. This adds a tactile layer to shifting events, going beyond sound or vibration for immersion.

 

Dynamic Engine Vibration

The system reproduces engine vibrations mapped to RPM and load. This kinetic texture adds realism, especially for electric vehicles where natural vibration is absent and requires artificial feedback to preserve immersion.

 

Beyond Simracing Applications

Allows for use in aviation, defense, and tactical training simulators. Any scenario requiring precise physical feedback can benefit from its fast response and structural integrity.
