The V3 retains the proven mechanical architecture of the V2 — including its high-stiffness 50 mm main shaft — while replacing the previous third-party control layer with Actuon, COG's own motion control technology.
At its core is Actuon8, COG's eight-channel motion controller, with four channels dedicated to the V3's four-actuator 3DOF architecture. Same proven platform. A completely new control layer.
What changes in V3
The mechanical system remains unchanged. What is new is the complete control chain.
Actuon8 Motion Controller
COG's own motion control electronics, replacing the previous third-party controller.
Actuon8 provides eight independent motion-control channels from a single controller, with four channels used by the V3's four-actuator 3DOF configuration.
Designed specifically as the control core of the Actuon ecosystem.
Actuon-SIB Safety Interface
The safety interface of the Actuon control layer.
Actuon-SIB sits between the motion controller and the servo drives and can interrupt their enable signal on demand, removing drive torque independently of the motion command.
One motion ecosystem
One supplier is now responsible for the complete motion chain: the mechanics, the control electronics and, when selected, the software that commands them.

The V3 is supplied with the software option selected at checkout. The selected option determines both the software environment and how the system may be used.
Actuon Control Manager — Standard Edition
COG's own motion control software, designed specifically for the Actuon ecosystem.
Actuon Control Manager — Standard Edition provides broad simulator compatibility, real-time telemetry processing, per-axis calibration, hardware diagnostics and automatic device detection.
The software is configured for the V3 out of the box: unpack, install, drive.
SimHub Compatible
The V3 is compatible with SimHub.
